The European School of Oncology (ESO) is pleased to announce that on 6 July 2007 it will launch a comprehensive cancer media service on its website – www.cancerworld.org - with the aim of promoting excellence in cancer journalism. Journalists will just need to click on the Cancer Media Service (CMS) icon to access summaries of key cancer stories and reviews about hot topics in oncology. The CMS site will also contain information about cancer events and awards targeted at journalists.

ESO is collaborating with Nature Clinical Practice Oncology to identify important cancer research findings that have been reported in leading cancer publications.  Each week a summary explaining the significance of the selected article will be distributed to interested journalists and posted on the site.  Interested journalists can register to receive emails by contacting the ESO media office at mediaservice@esoncology.org
