Protection of employment rights: still work in progress

Despite an EU directive out lawing job discrimination, cancer patients are still routinely forced out of work by employers who don’t want themor refuse to accommodate their need for lighter work or a shorter working day. Changing attitudes and improving the information and support available to patients will be key to turning the letter of the law into reality at work.
